After pressure washing, we use a TSP (trisodium phosphate) solution to deep-clean the wood, effectively removing any mildew, moss, or stubborn stains that might have set in. This ensures that the wood is in optimal condition for staining or painting. Once the wood is clean and dry, our team begins the process of scraping, sanding, and wiping the surfaces that are currently failing. Scraping removes any remaining loose paint or stain, while sanding smooths out the wood, preparing it for a uniform finish. Finally, a thorough wipe-down removes all dust and debris, leaving the wood pristine and ready for the new coat.
